Groundwater and surface water flow simulation, numerical modeling & simulation of natural water environment.

Our challenge is truly an integration of numerical modelling and field monitoring for better decision makings in the 21st century. What is the sustainable use of water resources? How can we manage the relationship between human activity and various nature capital? What’s happening there with climate change impact? These all are big scientific questions to be answered.

Our mission is to provide scientific/engineering services to contribute for these kinds of crucial concerns.

We’re applying the leading edge of world-standard modelling technologies into various domains such as water resource management, clean-up project of contaminated groundwater & soil, nuclear waste disposal, conservation of natural ecosystems and so forth. We are looking for experts and PhD students who want to challenge with us for 21st century’s sustainable life.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience with MODFLOW, FEFLOW, HydroGeoSphere, OpenGeoSys, TOUGH3, Hydrus, COMSOL, TOUGHREACT, PHREEQC2 and other advanced numerical simulators, Machine learning(TensorFlow, Tflearn and Keras), statistical & probabilistic data sciences.
  • Programming experience in Python, R, Javascript, Fortran90/95, HTML, etc.
  • Geospatial related knowledge such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and MapInfo.

  • Experienced, new and recent graduates, and post-doctoral fellows are welcome.
  • ・Employment Type: Parmanent, Contract, Part-time, (with opportunities for permanent employment)
  • ・Wage structure: Monthly salary (3.5 to 15 million yen per year), commuting allowance, and overtime allowance.
  • ・Location: Tokyo, Japan
  • ・Working hours: 8:45-17:30 with a 60-minute break and flextime system
  • ・Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, summer and year-end and New Year holidays, paid vacations
